Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guests consistently praise the spacious rooms, particularly the feature double rooms with a downstairs sitting area and upstairs bedroom. The food, especially dinner, receives high marks, and the plentiful breakfast is usually a highlight, though some have experienced longer waits during busy times. The hotel's location next to the park and ride for Whitby is very convenient, and the view from the bar area and restaurant is often described as fabulous, overlooking the lovely countryside; some rooms, however, might face a noisier road.

The staff were very helpful and cute to my dog and me! The hotel is well set up for stays with canine family members. I found this really convenient. I took advantage of the walk-in offer. It included dinner on my first night, a lovely treat.
There was a lack of storage in the bathroom. This made it a little difficult to store my toiletries.

Wonderful Hotel Stay

ample spacedelicious rangeconvenient locationlimited space
The family room provided ample space and was very clean. Breakfast included a delicious range of cereals, croissants, and hot food options. The location is convenient, only a short drive from attractions.
Storage space in the room was limited. The hanging robe wasn't wide enough. The shelves also felt somewhat unstable, impacting organization. Additional shelving or a wider wardrobe would be beneficial.
Dining

Good Stay Near the Coast

great showerhelpful staffample parkingmanageable temperature
My room was a good size. I found the shower temperature easy to manage and the water pressure was great. The staff were really helpful, and nothing was too much trouble for them. I also appreciated the more than sufficient parking (especially during the busy season).
The only minor issue was the absence of a telephone in the room, a walk to the bar for assistance.
Service
9/10
The staff were friendly and ready to assist with any requests. They were knowledgeable about local attractions. Their helpfulness definitely enhanced my visit.
Facilities
9/10
The hotel offered ample parking spaces . The provision for EV charging was convenient for electric vehicle owners. The hotel also provides accessible public areas.
Dining
9/10
The food was delicious and well-presented, especially the chips (someone had recommended them!). They offered gluten-free bread for breakfast. The poached eggs were also done to perfection.
Rooms
9/10
My room was clean, and the king size bed was wonderfully comfortable. The rooms seem well soundproofed because I never heard neighbours. The hairdryer provided was decent (better than many others I've used).
Location
10/10
The location was perfect (a real advantage!). It is situated opposite the park and ride for easy access to the town. This made trips convenient without the stress of finding parking.
